Description
Event brochure for Anjali, an Odissi classical dance performed on 30th October, 1979, at St. Paul's College Theatre, University of Manitoba at 8:00 pm. The performing artist, Anjali is Ottawa-born Annie-Marie Gaston, who has won laurels in India as well as in Canada for her dance. The event is organized by PALI (Performing Arts and Literatures of India), a committee devoted to the growth and appreciation of India's arts in Winnipeg. The organization was started by Ms. Uma Parameswaran, a script writer for dance dramas and a producer of television shows. The brochure also includes a word from sponsors and expresses their gratitude to advertisers and the Asian Studies Committee of the University of Manitoba for their help.
