Description
Though initially not a union supporter, Nina Dhillon eventually helped to organize the union at her work and was subsequently hired by the Hospital Employees Union (HEU) to organize and assist other workers. She was the first South Asian woman at the union and she describes this experience. This clip is from a full-length interview conducted by Dr. Anushay Malik on behalf of the BC Labour Heritage Centre's "Union Zindabad!" Project, 2021.
