Description
Bikram (Vic) Berar recalled the significance to enfranchisement to his family, noting that his grandfather lived his entire life in Canada without the right to vote. His father emphasized the importance of voting to Vic and he tries to pass the same lesson down to his children. This clip is from a full-length interview conducted by Dr. Anushay Malik on behalf of the BC Labour Heritage Centre's "Union Zindabad!" Project, 2021.
